Choosing a Saw Blade
Choosing the Proper Saw Blade
When analyzing the sawing application, band saw operators need to determine the proper number of teeth per inch (TPI). The tooth selection tables below will help you make that calculation.
Rectangular Solids – When cutting a solid rectangular piece, you must know that width of cut (W)
Round Solids – When cutting a solid round piece, you must know the diameter of cut. (D)
Pipe Tubing Structurals – When cutting a tubing or pipe piece, you must know the wall thickness. (T)
